TVS NTORQ SXR is built out of the brand’s over 35
years of racing expertise and it has been created to make a compelling mark in
the racing arena for the fourth round of Indian National Rally Championship
2018 in Nashik. The fully race-specific machine has endured several
modification on the styling as well as performance front and is obviously based
on the recently launched TVS NTORQ 125 scooter. It comes equipped with a rugged
exterior and signature paint scheme of TVS Racing.
The TVS NTORQ SXR extracts performance from a
four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC engine and it has been tuned to
max out a top speed of over 120 kmph. The performance upgrades have resulted in
a massive peak power of over 20 bhp – more than 11 bhp when compared to the
standard NTORQ 125. Other significant features of the race-spec TVS NTORQ SXR
are 12-inch knobby tyres with race-prepped hydraulic suspension,
performance-tuned air intake and the exhaust as well as ignition systems are
upgraded.
The fourth round of INRC (Indian National Rally
Championship) is scheduled to be contested in Nashik between May 25 and 26.
Triple National Championship winner Asif Ali and Shamim Khan will be riding the
new race-bred machine in the Rally. The NTORQ SXR builds on the good reception
of the standard NTORQ 125, which entered the market as country’s first
SmartXonnect scooter with Bluetooth-enabled technology paired to an exclusive
NTORQ mobile App that can be downloaded from google play store.
TVS SmartXonnect* provides a number of segment-first
additions such as the fully digital speedometer with 55 features including
service reminder, trip meter and multi-ride statistic modes such as Street and
Sport, navigation assist, top speed recorder, in-built lap timer, phone-battery
strength display, last parked location assist, etc.
