Under the hood here is a 304 cubic inch V8 mated to
a four-speed manual transmission now featuring a recent engine reseal, new
belts, hoses, a new Holley 2300 carburetor, new battery, and starter. Take that
power and pepper in a removable hard top, custom GRC front and rear bumpers, an
SS2 grille, Mickey Thompson 17-inch Deegan wheels wrapped in Nitto mud
grapplers and it’s clear this Scout isn’t fooling around.
The inside is outfitted for some serious abuse as
well – thanks to new door panels, rhino-lined floors for all-weather
durability, new seals and weatherstripping. Additionally, a new aluminum
radiator, exhaust with dual flowmasters, and a complete brake job round out the
upgrades for this off-road ready restored beast.
