Nowadays everyone is looking to get a little extra
bang for their buck when shopping for a new pickup, and manufacturers have been
listening to the clamors of commotion that have been stirred by the
heavyweights in the full equipped all-terrain category.
GMC has been offering their customers an off-road
ready variant for the past few years, but this year will see the introduction
of a new brand in the line up, with the introduction of the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4
pickup truck.
Adding to the striking visual appeal of the
redesigned 2019 GMC Sierra package, the AT4 trim boasts a 2-inch suspension
lift and the addition of off-road tuned Rancho shock absorbers to cushion the
ride of the 4×4 drivetrain. Power plant varieties include the 6.2-Liter and
5.3-Liter V8 petrol options, both with Dynamic Fuel Management systems, or
drivers can select the new Duramax 3.0-Liter inline-six cylinder turbo-diesel.
The two speed transfer case supplies power through a
fully locking rear differential, providing excellent traction to the Goodyear
Wrangler tires in low grip situations, while Hill Descent Control keeps driving
easy when crawling down steep terrain.
The Sierra AT4 will also employ GMC’s MultiPro
Tailgate and can optionally be fitted with their brand new CarbonPro cargo box,
giving well thought out design features to the often overlooked bed of the
pickup.
