The 2019 Lexus RX 450hL has arrived in the United
Kingdom, where it’s available in three grades, called SE, Luxury and Premier.
Offered from £ 50,995 (US$ 68,053), the entry-level SE is equipped with 18-inch
wheels, LED headlights with automatic high-beam, keyless entry&go, leather
upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation,
tri-zone climate control, navigation system, power tailgate, and others.
For £ 3,100 (US$ 4,137) more, buyers can order the
mid-spec Luxury trim level. This flavor adds 20-inch alloy wheels, smart
open/close function for the power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, auto-folding
side mirrors with auto-dimming, LED sequential turn indicators and triple-eye
LED headlights. The 12.3-inch infotainment system, 12-speaker audio, wireless
smartphone charger, Intelligent Park Assist, and other functions are standard,
too.
The range-topping Premier grade sits on 20-inch
alloy wheels with a different pattern and benefits from adaptive variable
suspension, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, five driving
modes, card key and sunroof. Rear-seat passengers get to enjoy the heated
second-row, and there’s a 360-degree camera system as well, along with
semi-aniline leather upholstery, Premium Navigation, Mark Levinson sound system
and heated steering wheel. For this model, Lexus is asking at least £ 61,995
(US$ 82,733).
All versions of the 2019 Lexus RX 450hL can be
equipped with the Protection Pack, as an optional extra. This includes a bumper
protection plate, mud flaps, boot liner and rubber floor mats. The Style Pack
is optionally available for the Premier trim level. It comes with chrome side
sills, front skirt, rear bumper protection plate and black inserts in the alloy
wheels. The final option is the sunroof for the Luxury grade.
The three-row RX 450hL is powered by a 3.5-liter V6
petrol engine and two electric motors, making a total of 312 PS.
The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 8.0 seconds and top speed stands at
180 km/h.
