The 2019 Suzuki Jimny will be making its debut in
July. Images shared online have revealed multiple aspects of the fourth
generation model. Exterior colour options of the new Suzuki Jimny have been
revealed courtesy of an image shared by Instagram user 'jimny_eptm_95'.
Suzuki will offer the Jimny is single-tone and
dual-tone colours. Based on the colour palettes of existing Suzuki models and
their corresponding colour codes, the Jimny will be offered in Brisk Blue Metallic,
Chiffon Ivory Metallic, Medium Gray, Blue ish Black pearl 3, Blueberry Purple
Metallic, Silky Silver Metallic, Pure White Pearl, Superia White and a bright
fluorescent yellow shade code ZZB. The last one along with Brisk Blue Metallic
and Chiffon Ivory Metallic will be available as dual tone options with a black
roof. A paint scheme with a black roof and bonnet will also be available.
There appear to be two grades on offer - XC and XL.
Only the former seems to get dual tone colour options. We will have more
clarity on the exact colour and trim options once the vehicle gets listed
officially on Suzuki's website.
The designers of the 2019 Suzuki Jimny have taken a
leaf out of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class booklet and adopted a very neo-retro
approach. The boxy proportions give the Jimny a very utilitarian look while
elements like projector headlamps, ORVM mounted turn indicators, split-spoke
alloy wheels add a modern touch to the exterior. Suzuki will offer two
iterations - Jimny & Jimny Sierra. The latter adds protective body cladding
to the wheel arches and side edges along with beefier tires and a different set
of alloy wheels.
The interior follows the same design principle as
the exterior. Some of the features present in the cabin include a touchscreen
display for the infotainment system, automatic climate control, multifunction
steering wheel among others. The 3-door hardtop Suzuki Jimny will offer seating
for four.
As per a recent report, the 2019 Suzuki Jimny will
officially be unveiled on July 5 in Japan. Series production of the car is
already underway in its home country. It will be offered with both manual and
automatic transmission options and Suzuki's AllGrip AWD setup.
