The Geely Emgrand GSe has been launched on the
Chinese car market. Price, after subsidies, starts at 119.800 and ends at
145.800 yuan. The Emgramd GSe is a full electric variant of the Emgrand GS
crossover.
The GSe is powered by a single electric motor with
an output of 163 hp and 250 Nm. The motor is mated to a 52 kWh battery pack.
Range (NEDC) is 353 kilometers. Charging on a 60 kW fast charger takes half an
hour (30% to 80%), a full charge at 220 V takes 9 hours. Zero to 100 takes 9.9
seconds.
The Emgrand GSe got a new front with a closed grille
and different bumpers, but otherwise there are no exterior differences with the
petrol powered car.
The interior is the same as well. The only
difference is the center tunnel, where the gear lever has been replaced with a
trendy gear selector knob. Other new equipment includes an air purifier,
wireless charging, and an updated voice control system with the catchy name of
Ni Hao.
Geely offers 5 years of free 4G internet to buyers
of the GSe, which seems to be a very generous deal. The Emgrand GSe is the
second full electric car in Geely’s China lineup after the Emgrand EV450.
