Not all automakers are involved in aircraft projects
for the sake of developing flying cars. Honda Aircraft Company unveiled a new
upgraded aircraft called the HondaJet Elite, featuring increased range, updated
avionics and enhanced cabin amenities. What’s impressive about the Elite, for
starters, is that it can fly 396 km further than its predecessor.
It also comes with a new noise attenuating inlet
structure which helps make the cabin more quiet during flight. Other changes
include the additional performance management functions for improved flight
planning, as well as the automatic stability and protection functions that
enhance safety while in the air.
The new HondaJet Elite is also said to boast the
best fuel efficiency in its class, as well as best-in-class speed, altitude and
range. It will be on display at EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention
and Exhibition) from May 28th through May 31st, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Customers can order the aircraft with new exterior
colors, such as three premier signature paints (Ice Blue/Ruby Red/Monarch
Orange), as well as an optional Bongiovi audio system – an industry first
speaker-less in-cabin system. Other options include the belted lavatory, galley
with coffee brewer and two-tone executive leather seats.
The aircraft’s total range is 1,437 nautical miles
(2,661 km).
