In June last year, Land Rover had announced two new
Ingenium petrol engines for the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover
Evoque. The 177 kW version of this engine is now available in these SUVs in
India.
The new petrol engine is a 2.0-litre ‘Si4’
turbocharged four-cylinder unit that offers enhanced performance and delivers
improved fuel efficiency. It produces 240 PS at 5,000-6,000 rpm and
340 Nm of torque at 1,500-4,500 rpm. A 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD
system work together to route power to the wheels.
In the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the Ingenium

features black exterior elements, Xenon headlights with LED signature lighting,
18-inch 5-split-spoke Style 511 alloy wheels with a gloss black finish, fixed
panoramic contrast roof, 10-way electric adjustment for the front seats, 2-zone
climate control, 8-inch touchscreen and 190 W, 10-speaker sound system.

Navigation infotainment system, rear-view camera, sliding armrest and 380-watt,
