Mercedes-Benz has announced its dropping its previous GLC entry point, the GLC 220d in favour of the petrol-powered GLC 200 which will sell here from AUD 61,990+ORC. While this new model is available to order now, vehicles aren’t expected into the country until September.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 offers a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 184 Hp and 300 Nm. This is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, and is rear-wheel-drive only. 

The features list, includes Parking Pilot with a 360-degree camera, Audio 20 entertainment system with seven-inch colour display and touchpad control, native satellite-navigation system, digital radio, media interface with smartphone integration, keyless start, electric front seats, black ash wood trim, ARTICO upholstery, LED head-lights, DYNAMIC SELECT driving mode selector, and 19-inch alloy wheels. In terms of safety, the GLC 200 gets nine airbags, AEB, Attention Assist, and Blind Spot Assist (passive).
