Following a slew of IPL themed examples of the Tata
Nexon that surfaced online in April, the compact SUV has now been given a FIFA
World Cup 2018 treatment. The Tata Nexon FIFA World Cup-themed models have been
created by a Kerala based dealership.
The images shared by Rushlane show three
World-Cup-themed Tata Nexons. The one on yellow with blue and green bits is
inspired by the Brazilian national team's kit. The front doors and bonnet
feature an image of Neymar Jr. A similar treatment is given to the other two in
the colours of Argentina (blue) and England (red). They feature an image of
Lionel Messi and Harry Kane respectively.
The one-off creations by Malayalam Motors from
Kerala are based on the XZ+ grade. The info shared by Rushlane does not mention
anything about the cost or commercial availability of these custom Tata Nexon
FIFA World Cup edition models.
Tata launched the diesel and petrol manual variants
of the Nexon last year in September. AMT variants were added last month. The
petrol engine is a 1.2 L turbocharged unit producing 110 PS and 170 Nm while
the turbocharged 1.5 L diesel makes 110 PS and 260 Nm. Both are available with
6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox options.
Key features of the Tata Nexon include projector
headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamp signature, dual tone paint schemes, 16-inch
alloy wheels, floating touchscreen display for the infotainment suite, drive
modes, and more.
The base Tata Nexon 1.2 petrol manual XE is priced
at INR 6.16 lakhs. The entry-level diesel variant costs INR 7.19 lakhs. The
range-topping petrol and diesel manual XZ+ grades with a dual tone exterior
scheme retail for INR 9.02 lakhs and INR 9.89 lakhs respectively. The petrol
AMT and diesel AMT XZA+ are priced at INR 9.41 lakhs and INR 10.39 lakhs respectively.
