Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has launched the 2018 Honda
CB150R StreetFire in Indonesia. The motorcycle is available in two variants -
standard and special edition - with prices starting from IDR 26,750,000 (on the
road).
As compared to the previous model, the 2018 Honda
CB150R StreetFire receives several cosmetic upgrades. However, there are no
changes to the engine. Upgrades on the CB150R StreetFire comprised of new
bikini fairing and extended sharp tank shrouds that partially covers the
trellis frame and radiator. Other changes include an aerodynamic tail section
cowls with holes and bolt-on cast aluminium foot pegs and mounts.
The 2018 Honda CB150R StreetFire features broader
and taller handlebar, which makes it comfortable as compared to the older
model. Moreover, 276 mm front and 220 mm rear petal discs replace the
conventional disc brakes but miss out on ABS. The Honda CB150R StreetFire will
rival the Yamaha Vixion, Suzuki GSX-S150 and the upcoming Suzuki Bandit 150.
The new CB150R StreetFire features an engine belly
cover as standard on the special edition version but is available as an
official accessory on the standard model. Powering the CB150R StreetFire is a
149.16 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 16.8 bhp of
maximum power at 9,000 rpm while developing 13.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm, mated to a
6-speed transmission.
The new Honda CB150R StreetFire Special Edition is
available in three colour options - Honda Racing Red, Fury Matte Red and Raptor
Matte Black, and costs IDR 27,850,000. The CB150R StreetFire Standard version
is available in two paint schemes - Wild Black and Macho Black, which costs IDR
26,750,000 (all the prices are on the road).
The motorcycle receives a fuel tank capacity of 12
litres with a dry weight of 136 kg. The CB150R StreetFire rides on 17-inch
alloy wheels that wrap to 100/80 R17 front and 130/70 R17 rear tubeless tires.
AHM targets to sell 95,000 units annually of the 2018 CB150R StreetFire, which
comes to 7,900 units per month.
