Additional details about the revived Honda Super Cub have been announced prior to the bike launching in the United States in January 2019. As with the original Super Cub, the new one combines the looks of a scooter with those of a motorcycle. The bike features a step-through chassis and the rider’s feet are positioned in a location similar to a motorcycle, rather than in front like a scooter.

Topping out the Honda Super Cub range is the C125 model. Complete in Honda’s signature blue, white and red color scheme, it is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 124.9 cc engine with keyless ignition, Ride Apart reports.

Additionally, the Super Cub C125 has a four-speed semi-automatic transmission coupled to an automatic centrifugal clutch. The shifter is found in front of the left foot peg like a motorcycle, but the Super Cub makes do without a clutch lever. ABS comes as standard.

Honda has built more than 100 million Super Cubs throughout the vehicle’s 60-year history. Prices for the new Super Cub will start at US$ 3599 in the United States.
