As the 2018 Maruti Ciaz’s launch nears, new details have leaked online. According to an image of the car’s dealer order guide published by Rush Lane, Maruti Suzuki will offer total 11 configurations and 7 metallic colour choices.

The Maruti Ciaz is a recipient of design and equipment changes with its mid-cycle update, and teasers and spy shots have already revealed most of them. The 2018 Maruti Ciaz looks bolder with its sharper, LED headlamps with LED DRL and an edgier radiator grille. The new front bumper, reshaped lower air intake and C-shaped front bumper garnish add to the sportiness of the car. A chrome hood applique tops off the new premium look. Other exterior changes include new alloy wheels and LED rear combination lamps.

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz’s interior is close to that of the old model. Updates here include lighter faux wood trim, new instrument cluster with a colour MID, adjustable rear headrests and cruise control. The new model supports the Suzuki Connect mobile app that lets the owner track the vehicle, analyse the driving behaviour, check live vehicle status, get service due reminder, share vehicle location and carry out many more such functions.

Maruti Suzuki will offer the new Ciaz with two engines: (all-new) K15B 1.5-litre petrol and the D13A 1.3-litre diesel. The newly developed petrol engine is likely to produce around 104.7 PS and 138 Nm of torque. Both the engines will come with Suzuki’s SHVS mild-hybrid technology. While the old Ciaz petrol has a fuel economy rating of 20.73 km/l (MT)/19.12 km/l (AT), the new Ciaz petrol will deliver 21.56 km/l (MT)/20.28 km/l (AT).

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz is now officially available to pre-order for a price of INR 11,000.
