It’s time for the all-new GMC Sierra to get its
flagship Denali version added to the range, which arrives now at dealerships in
the US market. The new 2019 GMC Sierra Denali leads a wider range that now includes
the new AT4 and Elevation models.
The flagship version of the GMC Sierra offers
exclusive features such as the Adaptive Ride Control suspension that offers
better road isolation and control, thanks to the system’s active dampers that
can be individually adjusted every 2 milliseconds.
The new Sierra Denali also gets
20-inch alloys as standard, a specific bright multidimensional grille along
with several chrome accents, body-colored bumpers and high-intensity LED
headlamps, fog lamps and taillights.
Inside the premium truck there are heated and
ventilated front seats, a heated rear outboard seat, a seven-speaker Bose
Premium Sound System with Richbass Woofer in the center console and a GMC
Premium 8-inch infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto among
others.
Power comes from the segment’s “most powerful V8”,
meaning a 6.2-liter engine producing 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The
powerplant also features what the company calls Dynamic Fuel Management, which
includes a cylinder-deactivation system.
Unlike other similar systems, the tech feature in
the Sierra Denali can operate in 17 different patterns, ranging from running on
two to the full eight cylinders, depending on demand. A 10-speed automatic
transmission offers reduced vibrations and better shift quality.
Of course, features like the Multipro Tailgate that
offers six unique functions and positions and the Carbon Fiber Pickup Box are
also present, with GMC claiming that the latter offers “best-in-class dent,
scratch and corrosion resistance”. GMC didn’t announce pricing
details just yet, so expect a report on that coming pretty soon.
