Lincoln has played around with pricing for the 2019
Navigator, confirming that some 2019 variants will cost US$ 3500 more than 2018’s
offerings. Cars Direct reports that the Navigator range starts off at US$ 74,500
including destination, a small US$ 650 increase over the 2018 model. Buyers of the
2019 Navigator Select will be hit with a US$ 1000 hike, with prices now starting
at US$ 78,850.
However, it is the 2019 Navigator Reserve that has
been slapped with the most significant price increase. Whereas the 2018 model
commanded US$ 83,000, the 2019 variant starts at US$ 86,500, a US$ 3,500 price jump.
This price increase isn’t without good reason. For
2019, Lincoln is making the once-optional Technology Package standard. This
option used to set back customers US$ 2640 and includes auto emergency braking,
lane departure warning, auto parking and adaptive cruise control, among others.
Elsewhere in the 2019 Navigator range, Black Label
trim models are US$ 2,190 more expensive and are now priced from US$ 97,690. Included
in this price increase are 30-way power adjustable seats. Topping out the 2019
Navigator range is the Navigator L Black Label, setting buyers back a cool US$ 100,890. The Lincoln Navigator serves as a direct rival to the Cadillac
Escalade and in L Black Label trim, costs US$ 700 less than the range-topping 2019
Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum.
Beneath the Navigator’s beastly bodywork is a
twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 delivering 450 hp and 691 Nm of
torque. Mated to this engine is a 10-speed automatic transmission sending power
through all four wheels.
In a bid to help promote the redesigned Navigator
when it launched, Lincoln recruited help from the likes of Matthew McConaughey
and Serena Williams.
