Most of us will never be able to afford a car like a
new Aston Martin. But we can dream, and dream we will with the latest addition
to the British automaker’s online configurator. Fresh to the web-based utility is
Aston’s new DBS Superleggera, the company’s lustworthy
range and the successor to the old Vanquish.
The big brother to the DB11 packs a 5.2-liter
twin-turbo V12 channeling 715 Hp and 900 Nm of
torque to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. And
it’s wrapped in artfully aggressive bodywork that arguably makes even some of
the automaker’s past collaborations with Zagato look tame by comparison.
The configurator lets you select between 34 standard
exterior colors and another baker’s dozen from the Q palette. On top of that,
customers can select between two finishes of carbon fiber for the aero kit, two
taillight tints, two finishes for the hood and side vents, three for the wing
mirrors, and a variety more for the roof, roof frame, wheels, brake calipers,
badges, even the underside of the hood.
And that’s before even peering inside,
where you’ll find more than enough upholstery and trim options to make your
head spin faster than the supercar’s 3.4-second 0-100 km/h time and 340
km/h top speed.
