After making its debut on the 2018 Tahoe RST, and
subsequently the 2019 Suburban RST, Chevy’s 6.2-liter V8 power unit will now
propel the automaker’s Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus models too, due to
popular demand. Like RST Premier spec models, All Premier Plus edition Chevys also
come with Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration and a Hydra-Matic
10-speed automatic gearbox.
Prices start from US$ 74,100 MSPR for the 2019 Chevy
Tahoe Premier Plus, without the US$ 1,295 destination charge, whereas the 2019
Suburban Premier Plus will cost you upwards of US$ 76,900 MSRP, also without the
aforementioned charge.
The two models come with unique interiors, featuring
heated and ventilated Black/Mahogany-colored leather-appointed front seats
against a Jet Black trim surround. This premium two-tone interior and the
22-inch polished wheels are available for the first time within Chevy’s
full-size SUV lineup.
Other interesting features include gold Chevrolet
bowtie logos, chrome nameplate badging, a head-up display with an 8-inch
diagonal cluster, cross rails, chrome power steps and exhaust tip, plus a
Chevrolet-branded cargo organizer. Last but not least is the standard 4G LTE
Wi-Fi hotspot with a 12-month data plan.
As for the available 6.2-liter V8 engine, it puts
down 420 HP and 623 Nm of torque, with the help of the 10-speed
automatic transmission that’s said to reduce engine revolutions at highway
speeds. The 2019 Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus can already be ordered from
Chevrolet dealers, with production scheduled to commence in mid-August.
