PT Astra Honda Motor has
officially launched the Honda Forza 250 scooter in Indonesia at the ongoing
GIIAS 2018. Moreover, potential buyers can also order the Forza 250 at the
Honda stand.
The Honda Forza 250 is a maxi-scooter that will compete
with the Yamaha XMAX 250. Notable features on the Forza 250 are an electrically
adjustable windscreen, rear view mirror integrated turn indicators and a power
outlet for smartphone charging. The scooter also comes with LED headlights,
which should offer better visibility during night.
The Honda Forza 250 features an analogue-digital
instrument cluster which displays average fuel consumption, service warnings,
air temperature, while the scooter gets a keyless system, a smart remote
integrated alarm and an answer back system. Honda imports the Forza 250 from
Thailand and has priced it at IDR 70 million. On the hand, the locally made
Yamaha XMAX 250 is priced at IDR 57.8 million.
The Honda Forza 250 sources power from a 249.01 cc,
liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that develops 23.2 bhp of maximum power
at 7,500 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm, mated to an automatic
transmission. The scooter features 15-inch front and 14-inch rear alloy wheels
that run on 120-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tires. Stopping
power comes from disc brakes at both the ends with dual-channel ABS as
standard.
Apart from the Honda Forza 250, PT Astra Honda Motor
(AHM) has also introduced the Honda Super Cub 125 and the Honda Africa Twin
Adventure Sport. While the Super Cub 125 is an iconic retro step-through moped,
the Africa Twin is a cross-country adventure tourer. The Honda Super Cub 125
features a keyless system, semi-digital instrument cluster and LED headlights.
The Africa Twin Adventure Sport gets fairing guards, an engine belly guard, and
luggage panniers.
