AutoHome has posted the first interior picture of
the Hyundai Tucson facelift for the Chinese market. Beijing-Hyundai will introduce a unique, China-only revision for the SUV which
is significantly different from the global 2019 Tucson unveiled at the New York
International Auto Show this year.
Where the exterior of the Tucson facelift for China
is significantly different from the international model, it appears the
interior is more in-line with its global counterpart.
The AC vents are lowered
and clustered, as are the controls for the automatic climate control system. It
also appears that the China-spec Tucson facelift will get the floating 7-inch
display with hard keys on either side. This infotainment system has become the
mainstay for current Hyundai models internationally and supports Apple CarPlay
and Android Auto.
The pre-facelift model was available with a
dual-tone black-and-beige dashboard, but it appears this mono-tone black-only
shade will be available on the facelifted model.
Finally, the position and
appearance of the electronic parking brake are revised; it now sits behind the
gear stalk. The pre-facelift Tucson is available with a 1.6-litre turbocharged
petrol engine and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The former
develops 177 PS and 265 Nm, and the latter makes 165 PS and 203 Nm.
