The Mercedes-AMG GT was given an update back in
2017, and it looks like another one is on its way based on these latest photos
provided by Paultan's spies. From the front, there doesn’t appear to be a lot that has changed
given the presence of the same AMG Panamericana vertical grille and front apron
design. You’ll have to examine the headlamps to spot what is possibly a new set
of inner graphics but beyond that, things look rather familiar.
It’s a different story at the back, where you’ll
find a brand new bumper design reminiscent of the one on the GT C – identified
via the outlets in the corners. There are also quad tailpipes this time around
rather than the two on the current car, which follows the theme seen on recent
AMG models introduced.
No shot of the interior but expect minor updates
such the latest infotainment system and display screen like on the facelifted
W205 C-Class. Following the 2017 update, the M178 4.0 litre biturbo V8 makes
476 PS/630 Nm in base guise and 522 PS/670 Nm in the S. The upcoming facelift
should see a slight bump in those figures but not enough to interfere with the
GT C variants.
To explain, the AMG GT range starts with the base GT
followed by the GT S, with both being offered as a coupe and roadster. Further
up is the GT C with 557 PS/680 Nm, also available in both body styles, and at
the very top is the GT R with 585 PS/700 Nm.
