TechArt revealed its proposal for the Porsche 911 Carrera T, a tuning package aimed at making the purist’s Carrera faster and more enjoyable. When Porsche first announced the 911 Carrera T, many hoped that the dream for a budget GT3 was finally becoming a reality; however, the car itself proved to be only a slightly sharper and marginally faster Carrera.

TechArt’s Powerkit raises the twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six’s output from 365 hp to 425 hp, a solid 60 hp gain. Similarly, peak torque is increased from 450 Nm to 530 Nm.  These figures make TechArt’s Carrera T more powerful than a standard Carrera S.

The package also includes a new ‘Racing’ active exhaust system that provides a “deeper and more powerful boxer sound” and comes with four titanium tips dressed with a carbon-fiber jacket. TechArt claims that their upgraded 911 Carrera T can do the 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds flat, down from the standard model’s 4.3 seconds. Top speed is 300 km/h. The price of the upgrade is set at 8,000 euros (US$ 9,200).

TechArt also offers tuning packages for the Carrera, Carrera S and Carrera GTS models. The Carrera S can be upgraded to 473 hp and 580 Nm, while the Carrera GTS goes up to 503 hp and 630 Nm.
