With everything going on at Seat recently, it’s easy
to forget that they still have the Alhambra in their range. The minivan is in its second
generation, which was launched in 2010. It’s based on the same underpinnings as
the Volkswagen Sharan and recently got with a new trim level.
Called Xcellence, this flavor comes with a slightly
modified exterior design that includes the updated Seat logo at the front,
chrome finishing for the window frames and roof rails, and 18-inch alloy wheels
with a new pattern.
Inside, the Alhambra Xcellence gets LED illumination
all around and two additional USB ports in the second and third rows. Elsewhere, this grade, which sits
above the Reference and Style ones, has standard Front Assist and Lane Assist
driving assistance features, in addition to a front-facing multifunction
camera.
Clients will have to choose between a 1.4-liter TSI
petrol unit with 150 PS, available with either a manual or a DSG
automatic transmission, and a 115 PS, 150 PS or
177 PS 2.0-liter TDI diesel.
The base diesel comes solely with a manual gearbox,
the mid-range option is available with the manual or DSG and 4Drive all-wheel
drive, and the most powerful version is offered exclusively with the automatic
transmission and AWD.
