SsangYong Turismo has received a mid-cycle facelift It comes with a revised front end that brings it closer to other models in the Korean brand’s range, along with added equipment. For the updated version of the minivan, the company is asking at least £ 20,495 (US$ 26,974) in the United Kingdom.

Upgrade to the ELX, and get ready to pay at least £ 26,995 (US$ 35,528), although this trim level has 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and parking sensors. It also gets automatic headlights and windshield wipers, heated front seats, new infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, RDS and DAB radio, reversing camera, and others.


SsangYong says that inside its 5+ meters long body, with a 3-meter wheelbase, the updated Turismo can carry up to seven adults in three rows of seats. Boot capacity with all seats in place is 875lt, but the third row can be removed completely, for added practicality and a lot more extra space. In particular, with the second row folded, the minivan has a whopping 3,146lt of cargo space.

The entry-level SsangYong Turismo EX has to make do with two-wheel drive, whereas the EXL has a seven-speed automatic transmission made by Mercedes-Benz, with low ratio. The gearbox is paired to a 2.2-liter diesel engine, and the more expensive model has a towing capacity of up to 2 tons.


Elsewhere, both grades benefit from double wishbone front suspension and independent rear multi-link suspension for what the car firm calls “executive saloon style ride quality”.
