The Tata Tigor is currently available with a
5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman. The new central unit looks
much bigger and it could have a higher resolution and brightness for better
readability in the daylight. The Tata Nexon currently has the best infotainment
system in the Tata Motors line-up, with a 6.5-inch touchscreen.
The currently available 5.0-inch touchscreen
infotainment system features Bluetooth connectivity, voice control and various
app-based functions including navigation. It lacks Apple CarPlay, Android Auto
and MirrorLink support, which the direct rival Hyundai Xcent’s system already
offers. The new infotainment system aside, current interior bits look in their
places in the spy shot. The exterior of the test mule, from what’s visible,
also looks unchanged.
The Tata Tigor is available with a 1.2-litre
Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder
diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque. The diesel
engine develops 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque. 5-speed manual and 5-speed
automated manual (petrol-only) are the transmission choices.
Smoked projector headlamps, 15-inch dual-tone alloy
wheels, LED tail lights, multi-drive modes, automatic climate control, foldable
rear armrest, rear parking sensors and camera, ABS with EBD and CSC and
dual-front airbags are some of the salient features of the Tata Tigor. Prices
of the entry-level sedan start at INR 4.84 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
