Nissan announced the pricing and range details of
the 2019 Rogue, which remains the company’s top-selling model in its range. Nissan re-organized some of the options into new packages and made the
2019 Rogue the first of its models to offer the Nissan Safety Shield 360 range
of active safety systems, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with
Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane
Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Parking.
S grade models can be optioned with the new Special
Edition Package, featuring 17-inch alloys, heated door mirrors with integrated
LED turn signals, leather steering wheel and shift knob, heated front seats and
a chrome detailing pack.
Similarly, SV grade models can be optioned with the
Premium Package, that includes 18-inch alloys, ProPilot semi-autonomous tech
and an electronic parking brake. All models for the 2019MY will come with Rear Door Alert and a
seven-inch Nissan Connect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car
Play.
As before, power comes from a 2.5-liter
four-cylinder engine that produces 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, mated to the
company’s Xtronic CVT transmission. Customers can still choose between front-
and all-wheel drive, with the former being the more fuel efficient of the
range, returning 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway and 29 mpg combined.
Customers in the West, Northwest, Mountain and
Mid-Atlantic regions will be offered the Hybrid version as well. The combined
output of the hybrid powertrain is rated at 176 hp, with Nissan also offering
both front- and all-wheel drive.
Prices for the 2019 Nissan Rogue start from US$ 25,795,
including a US$ 995 destination and handling fee, while the 2019 Rogue Hybrid
starts from US$ 28,595.
