Audi e-tron SUV was
finally unveiled to the world, the vehicle’s online configurator, which you can
access here, has been released to U.S. prospective customers. In the United States, the e-tron
SUV will be sold in Premium Plus and Prestige guises, priced from US$ 74,800 and US$ 81,800 respectively and can be reserved with a US$ 1000 deposit.
However, if you want any paint other than Brilliant
Black, you’ll have to pay US$ 595 for one of the other nine exterior shades and
colors, which include Antigua Blue Metallic, Catalunya Red Metallic, and Siam
Beige Metallic.
The e-tron comes standard with 20-inch
wheels but can be specced with 21-inch 15-spoke Bi-color wheels for an extra US$ 1500. Inside, there will be just three configurations available; Black/Rock
Gray, Opaki Brown/Black/Lunar Silver and Pearl Beige/Granite Gray. Fortunately,
all of them look very nice.
Elsewhere, the e-tron can be equipped with a host of
optional extras. These include the US$ 900 Cold Weather package, a US$ 650 Towing
package, US$ 400 Rear side airbags and illuminated seat belt buckles, and a
Privacy Cargo Cover for US$ 310.
Power for the e-tron is provided by a pair of
asynchronous motors that propel the vehicle to 96 km/h in 5.5 seconds
and on to a 200 km/h top speed. The SUV uses a 95 kWh battery pack
and is expected to have a range of approximately 402 km. Once it
hits the market, it will compete against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz EQC,
Tesla Model X and Jaguar I-Pace.
