Benelli Motor Indonesia has launched the Benelli
Motobi 200 Evo in Indonesia at the GIIAS 2018 earlier this month, priced at IDR
30.8 million (OTR Jakarta). If launched in India, the Motobi 200 Evo will rival
the Bajaj Avenger 220 and the upcoming UM Renegade Duty S.
The Benelli Motobi 200 Evo is an entry-level cruiser
from the Chinese-owned Italian bike maker. It features a sculpted fuel tank and
chopped rear fender with a step-up seat. The Motobi 200 EVO is available in two
colour options (for the fuel tank), Red & Grey, while the rest of the body
gets black and silver paint finish.
The motorcycle features a single-pod digital
instrument cluster, round headlight, wide handlebar and a stubby exhaust. The
Benelli Motobi 200 EVO comes equipped with 17-inch front and 15-inch rear
multi-spoke alloy wheels the run on 90/90-section front and 130/90-section rear
tubeless tires. Anchorage comes from a 280 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear
rotor, while ABS isn’t offered.
The Benelli Motobi 200 EVO sources power from a 197
cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 2-valve, fuel-injected engine. In classic
Harley Davidson style, Benelli hasn’t revealed the power figures of the
motorcycle. That said, the 4-stroke motor produces 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,000
rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Suspension hardware includes telescopic forks at the
front with 120 mm wheel travel and coil-spring oil damped twin gas-charged
shock absorbers at the back. The cruiser has a fuel tank capacity of 11.8
litres, along with a dry weight of 156 kg. The bike has a ground clearance of
150 mm, and a low saddle height of 715 mm.
The motorcycle measures at 2140 mm in length, 800 mm
in width, and 1050 mm in height, while it has a wheelbase of 140 mm.
