By adding an Evo package to their M235i race car,
BMW Motorsport is ready to send a more capable track contender into the world,
to the delight of their customer teams. The BMW M240i Racing Evo package
features optimized engine software, new end plates for the rear wing, an
optional driver’s seat for enhanced comfort and other mods.
Aside from the contract extension, BMW Motorsport
has also raised the prize money for the newly-named BMW M240i Racing Cup, where
next season’s most successful teams will receive 100,000 euros (US$ 117,600) in
prize money, 25,000 euros (US$ 29,400) more than before.
As before, the Racing Cup class will continue to
receive full support from BMW Motorsport, as the latter will supply teams with
spare parts at the track, as well as offer them full customer support and
engineering support.
