The Cleveland Ace Deluxe and the Cleveland Misfit has been launched in India. The Cleveland Ace Deluxe has been priced at INR 2.24 lakh, while the Misfit carries a price of INR 2.49 lakh (prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Ahead of the official launch, Cleveland CycleWerks inaugurated its first dealership, located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The Cleveland Ace Deluxe will be the first bike to go on sale, while the Cleveland Misfit will be available next month onward. That said, deliveries of both the bikes will start in November.

Cleveland CycleWerks has plans to open a total of 30 dealerships in India by the end of this financial year. The company has already finalised dealerships in 10 major cities in India, while it is targeting dealership in 40 cities. Cleveland has set itself a target of 600-unit sales in the current financial year, while it plans 100-200 per cent growth in the next two years.


The Cleveland Ace Deluxe is a modern-classic scrambler that comes with a circular fuel tank, round headlamp, wide handlebar and a long single-piece seat. The Cleveland Misfit is a café racer-style motorcycle with a tear-drop fuel tank, round headlight, a raised handlebar and a single-piece café racer seat.

The motorcycles employ a 229 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that is tuned to pump out 15.4 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 16 Nm at 6,000 rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox with a final chain drive. Both the bikes feature USD front forks and twin coil-spring shock absorbers at the rear.


Anchorage comes from a 298 mm disc at the front with two-piston calliper and a 210 mm rotor at the back with a single-piston calliper. The bikes come shod with 17-inch wire-spoke aluminium wheels that run on MRF or CEAT tyres. The motorcycles come with a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres, while the kerb weight stands at 133 kg. The company claims a fuel economy in the range of 30-35 km/l.

Cleveland CycleWerks India has revealed that the Ace Deluxe and Misfit currently have 6 percent localisation, but plans to increase it to 30-40 per cent in the next few years. The company has set up its assembly plant in Pune, with an annual capacity of 40,000 units.
