Ducati India has announced the launch of Scrambler 1100 on 27 August. That said, an early August report claims that the Ducati Scrambler 1100 will cost INR 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom India) for the base variant in the country.

The same report claims that potential customers can book the Ducati Scrambler 1100 at an amount of around INR 1 lakh or INR 2 lakh depending on the dealership. Ducati India is expected to introduce all three variants of the Scrambler 1100, Standard, Special, and Sport, in India. The Scrambler 1100 is set to become the flagship offering in the Ducati Scrambler range in the country.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 features a similar design language as the entry-level Scrambler but features a few cosmetic upgrades. The Scrambler 1100 features an under-seat twin-exhaust setup, while the alternator cover, engine cover, and clutch receive an aluminium finish. The motorcycle gets aggressive ergonomics with rear-set foot-pegs and a farther-pushed handlebar.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 features an all-new digital instrument cluster, while the motorcycle gets an exhaustive suite of electronic rider aids like three riding modes, five-level traction control system, cornering ABS, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) with lean angle sensitivity, and ride-by-wire throttle system.

Powering the Ducati Scrambler 1100 is a 1,079 cc, air-cooled, Desmodromic L-twin motor that is tuned to produce 85 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm while generating a peak torque of 88 Nm at 4,750 rpm while working with a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle gets a standard slipper clutch, which assists during aggressive downshifts.

Braking power is provided by twin 330 mm rotors at the front with 4-piston Brembo M4.32B Monobloc callipers, while the rear features a 245 mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper. The Standard and Special variants of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 come with 45 mm USD Kayaba fork at the front with preload and rebound damping adjustability, while the rear gets a rebound and preload adjustable mono-shock.

On the other hand, the Scrambler 1100 Sport gets a fully-adjustable Ohlins front suspension, while the rear mono-shock is similar to the unit available on the two versions. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 will compete with the BMW R nineT Scrambler, Kawasaki Z900 RS, and the Triumph Thruxton R.
