Hyderabad-based Eimor Customs took a 2013 Royal Enfield Desert Storm 500 motorcycle and gave it a complete makeover. The transformation was created around the customer’s requirement of having a more accessible seat height. While tailoring the ride height for the customer, Eimor Customs added a ton of visual upgrades to the motorcycle that make it look spectacular.

Christened Allura, the motorcycle gets 120-section tyres that are wrapped in 16-inch wheels to bring the seat height lower. The front wheel gets a vintage style fender. The front fender also receives the owner’s name printed on the front plate.

Up front, the motorcycle gets a new, black headlight grille. Behind the headlight is a separate housing for the speedometer and the fuel gauge. The ignition has been re-positioned, and it now occupies space on the oval box on the right side. A taller handlebar, aimed to provide more comfortable ergonomics, has replaced the stock unit from the Desert Storm 500.

The side profile reveals the customised fuel tank that gets Allura tag on either side. The sides of the fuel tank get new recesses that are aimed to enhance the look of the unit further. A matte jet-black finish on body parts like the front fender and the side panels complement the gloss blue finish of the fuel tank. Splashes on chrome on specific panels give a balance to the overall look of the motorcycle. The fuel tank also features Vintage styled gold leaf work. The side panels sport “Eimor Customs” branding.

A noticeable element on the motorcycle is the split saddle. The diamond stitch pattern on the rider and the pillion seat add a new charm to the motorcycle. Moreover, the spring type arrangement on the rider and the pillion seat is aimed to soak in more bumps and undulations that may escape the standard suspensions for comfortable ride quality. Further enhancing the comfort for the pillion rider is the grab rail that is tall enough to double up as a backrest. The lack of padding, however, would not make it as comfortable as a proper backrest. Similar to the front, the rear fender gets a matte jet-black finish. The rear fender is accompanied by custom tail light and blinkers which feature the matte jet-black finish.

There is no mention of mechanical upgrades, and thus the motor most likely continues to deliver the standard performance numbers. The 499 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, engine with fuel injection and air-cooling delivers 27.2 bhp of maximum power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
