Ford and Harley-Davidson teamed up to produce a
number of special edition F-150s over the years, but the model was phased out
earlier this decade. Harley-Davidson clearly hasn’t forgotten about the truck as the motorcycle
maker has teamed up with the Tuscany Motor Company to create the F-150
Harley-Davidson concept. Based on the 2019 Ford F-150, the truck draws
inspiration from the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle and has a number of
unique styling features.
Looking far more aggressive than the standard truck,
the HD concept has been equipped with a BDS Suspension lift, FOX shocks and
22-inch aluminum wheels which are wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires.
Designers also installed a ram-air hood, extended fender flares and a revised
grille with a honeycomb mesh insert.
A closer look reveals a front skid plate, power
deployable running boards and a locking tonneau cover which features the
Harley-Davidson logo. Other changes include a Harley-Davidson tailgate appliqué
and a Flowmaster exhaust system with billet aluminum tips.
Interior changes are less dramatic as the model has
diamond quilted leather seats, contrast stitching and a revised instrument
cluster. Other highlights include billet pedals, special floor mats and
Harley-Davidson branded sill plates.
The model was built to celebrate Harley-Davidson’s
115th anniversary and the truck is currently on display at the Harley-Davidson
Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
While the Tuscany Motor Company repeatedly refers to
the model as a concept, it appears the truck is going into production as
company has launched a site which seeks potential customers and Ford dealers
willing to sell the model. The production truck largely resembles the concept,
but it will use significantly smaller 22-inch all-terrain tires.
