We already know
that Lamborghini is working on the mid-life update of the Huracan, thanks to a
recent leak of images showing a test car during the night, but Carscoops spies have
now spotted another car in broad daylight.
The update will
include a pair of redesigned bumpers that appear to host a bit of active aero
to them, or as Lamborghini calls it ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva). If
true, then expect a toned-down version of the aero kit that debuted in the
hardcore Huracan Performante and is prominently featured in the Aventador SVJ.
Another feature
first seen in the Performante is the exhaust tailpipes, which exit from the
middle of the rear end, leaving the lower part of the bumper free to be
occupied by a massive diffuser. The interior will be updated with a massive
portrait-style infotainment system, as seen on the previous leak. The system
appears to be the same with that in the limited Centenario, meaning a 10.1-inch
touchscreen high-definition display with pretty much every connectivity option
available.
We still don’t know
what Lamborghini is planning to do with the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10
engine. Given that Lamborghini has already confirmed that the successor to the
Huracan will employ a hybrid powertrain, we expect them to upgrade the V10’s
performance as a proper sendoff. With the current Huracan making 601hp, the
facelift should bring the output closer to the Performante’s 631hp.
The facelifted
Lamborghini Huracan is expected to debut next year as a 2020 model, so tune in
for more information as we have them.
