Mahindra Two Wheelers is reportedly developing the
Mahindra Mojo Electric motorcycle for the Indian market as the bike was spied
for the first time in India, courtesy of a Cartoq reader. The custom Mahindra Mojo Electric
motorcycle was spotted outside a component supplier's factory in Bangalore
alongside a couple of other electric scooters. According to the spy media, the
Mojo Electric features final belt drive, while the motorcycle is devoid of an
exhaust system and gear lever. Furthermore, the engine area is concealed using
a cowl and belly cover.
Interestingly though, the Mahindra Mojo Electric
gets a clutch lever on the conventional side of the handlebar. However, we can
see the clutch cable dangling on the right side of the front fork, which
substantiates the presence of an electric powertrain. Moreover, a small wire can be seen running down
into the electric powertrain.
That said, not much is known about the powertrain on
the Mahindra Mojo Electric. The test mule uses the same chassis, USD front
forks, bodywork, wheels, other mechanicals and even the Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2
tires from the stock bike.
