Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has announced the
introduction of Night Edition versions of the C117 CLA 200 and X156 GLA 200,
and these replace the CLA 200 AMG Line and GLA 200 Urban Line variants in the
local line-up.
The Night Edition package contains an AMG Line
exterior, the front and rear apron as well
as side sill panel inserts are now finished in matt titanium grey. Edition
badging on the front fenders is another identifier.
The CLA 200 continues to ride on 18-inch AMG
multi-spoke light-alloy wheels that were introduced with the facelift, while
the GLA 200 Night Edition gets a new 19-inch wheel design – the previous
five-spoke matte black/high sheen finish example introduced with the facelift
has been replaced by an AMG multi-spoke unit, finished in black.
Inside, the Artico faux leather seats, floor mats,
beltline and also the dashboard now feature white topstitching, and the seat
belts get a white stripe accent. Elsewhere, the AC vent surrounds now come with
colour-coordinated white nozzle rings, and carbon-fibre look trim makes its way
on for the dashboard, replacing the brushed aluminium trim seen previously.
No mechanical changes – both the CLA 200 and GLA 200
continue on with the M270 DE 16 1.6 litre turbocharged engine offering 154 hp
at 5,300 rpm and 250 Nm from 1,250 to 4,000 rpm, the mill being paired with a
7G-DCT seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Exterior colour choices for the CLA 200 Night
Edition are Polar White, Cavansite Blue, Polar Silver, Cosmos Black and
Mountain Grey, while the GLA 200 Night Edition is available in the same
colours, minus one shade, this being Polar Silver.
As highlighted by the MBM announcement of its
SST-based price list, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Night Edition is priced at
RM 242,888, while the GLA 200 Night Edition goes for RM 244,888, on-the-road
without insurance.
