Mercedes Benz India today launched the Mercedes Benz
CLA Urban Sport editions. The CLA Urban Sport edition is offered with petrol
and diesel engines; the former which is the CLA 200 Urban Sport costs INR 35.99
lakhs, and the latter is the CLA 200 d Urban Sport priced at INR 36.99 lakhs,
ex-Showroom, India.
On the outside, the CLA Urban Sport is now offered
in a new 'Cosmos Black' paint scheme, whereas the existing CLA series is
offered in Cirrus White, Jupiter Red, Cavansite Blue, Polar Silver, and
Mountain Grey shades. Additional equipment on the Urban Sport edition includes
'Sport' badges and a rear spoiler in a carbon style.
Inside, the CLA Urban Sport gets a two-zone
automatic climate control system as compared to the single zone system of the
regular CLA range. Further, rear center vents, 'Sport' branded floor mats and
illuminated door sills set apart the Urban Sport from the regular CLA variants.
The Mercedes CLA range in India now include the CLA
200 d Style (priced at INR 31.7 lakhs), the CLA 200 Sport (priced at INR 34.54
lakhs), the CLA 200 d Sport (priced at INR 35 lakhs), the CLA 45 AMG 4MATIC
(priced at INR 75.19 lakhs) and the CLA 45 AMG 4MATIC Aero Edition (priced at
INR 77.69 lakhs). Note that all prices are ex-Showroom, India.
The CLA 200 is powered by a 1,991 cc four-cylinder
turbocharged petrol engine capable of 184 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It
accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and claims a top speed of 240 km/h.
The CLA 200 d uses a 2,143 cc four-cylinder diesel outputting 136 hp and 300 Nm
of torque and claims 9 seconds for the 0-100 km/h dash and a top speed of 220
km/h.
