Cafe Racers have enjoyed a cult following for
generations now. Bengaluru-based Buleteer Customs has created another
head-turner with this custom Royal Enfield Electra 350 'Chief' Bratrod café
racer. The custom Royal Enfield Chief Bratrod café racer is based on the
Royal Enfield Electra 350. The custom motorcycle belongs to a Merchant Navy
Sailor, who wanted his Electra to be immortalized. The Chief Bratrod café racer
features several custom-built body parts along with some mechanical upgrades.
According to the custom builder, the motorcycle
receives a Lamborghini Candy Orange paint scheme, which is similar to the
Murcielago. The bike gets matte black detailing for the various body parts
apart from the fuel tank. It features a custom fuel tank, chopped front and
rear fenders and a black leather-wrapped single-piece seat.
The custom Royal Enfield café racer comes with twin
gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear and telescopic forks at the front,
while the swing-arm is borrowed from the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The
motorcycle features clip-on handlebars, single-pod speedometer, LED projector
headlamp and LED turn indicators and taillight. It uses 17-inch alloy wheels
from the KTM 390 Duke that wrap on 120-section front and 140-section rear
tubeless tires.
The custom house claims that the motorcycle can
easily sprint to 120 km/h, as a result of the power mods. Speaking of the
mechanical bits, the Royal Enfield Chief Bratrod café racer uses a 346 cc,
single-cylinder, air-cooled motor from the Royal Enfield Electra 350. The
carburetted engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 19.8 bhp at 5250
rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The modified Royal Enfield Chief Bratrod café racer
features custom brackets for the headlamp and taillight, while the motorcycle
also comes with a free flow exhaust system. Disc brakes provide braking power
at the front and back. The company has discontinued the Royal Enfield Electra 350 in India.
The bike is sold as the Royal Enfield Bullet ES in the domestic market, priced
at INR 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
