Following the launch of the 2019 Kawasaki Versys
650, India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2019 Kawasaki Z900 in India, priced
at INR 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Bookings for the 2019 Kawasaki Z900 are open at
Kawasaki dealerships across the country. The new Z900 is available in three
colour options - Metallic Moondust Grey / Ebony, Pearl Flat Stardust White /
Metallic Spark Black, and Metallic Flat Spark Black / Metallic Spark Black.
Apart from the three paint schemes and new graphics,
the 2019 Kawasaki Z900 continues unchanged. According to Kawasaki, the Z900 is
a rider-focused naked streetfighter that offers a perfect balance between power
and handling. The Z900 uses an all-new lightweight frame along with an
aluminium swingarm.
The 2019 Kawasaki Z900 employs the same 948 cc,
liquid-cooled, In-line four-cylinder engine. The fuel-injected motor produces
123.3 bhp of maximum power and 98.6 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a
6-speed transmission with a standard slip-assist clutch.
The Kawasaki Z900 features a 17 litres fuel tank,
while it tips the scales with a kerb weight of 210 kg. Anchorage comes from
twin semi-floating 300 mm petal discs up front with a 4-piston calliper and a
250 mm petal rotor at the rear with a single-piston calliper, while
dual-channel ABS is standard.
Suspension hardware includes 41 mm inverted front
forks with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability and a back-link
mono-shock with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability at the back.
The Kawasaki Z900 rivals the Triumph Street Triple RS, Ducati Monster 821,
Yamaha MT-09, and the Suzuki GSX-S750.
