Aside from the updated Triumph Street Twin, the
Hinckley outfit’s retro 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler gets a model makeover for
the new year, shown at the Intermot Show in Germany. Considering both models
have the same engine as a base, engine power for the Street Scrambler is 65 PS,
up 10 PS or 18%, with 80 Nm of torque and a rev limit increased by 500 rpm.
On the electronics side of things, the Street
Scrambler come with a choice of two ride modes – road and rain, ABS braking,
switchable traction control. Other modern riding conveniences include a USB
charging socket, LED rear light, immobiliser and light pull Torque Assist
clutch.
Front suspension has been improved with revised
internals in the telescopic fork giving 120 mm of front wheel travel and Brembo
brake calliper for better stopping performance. The wide handlebar of the
Street Scrambler is still there, with foot pegs now moved a little further
forward with 19-inch spoked wheel in front for that authentic retro scrambler
look.
Cosmetic changes to the 2019 Street Scrambler
include a number plate side panel with a contemporary Triumph logo, new style
combination analogue/digital instrument gauge and a touring oriented
fabric/leather seat. There are three colour options for the Street Scrambler –
Fusion White, Cranberry Red dan Khaki Green.
Aside from the wide selection of accessories
available from the official Catalogue, the 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler also
comes with the option the Urban Tracker kit that adds side pannier, Vance &
Hines exhaust and black anodised aluminium fuel filler cap. The kit also
includes a wire mesh guard for the front headlight, engine skid plate and a few
other accessories to complete the scrambler style.
