IAB reader Lakshya Anand has shared images of an
Aprilia SR 150 Carbon Edition that has been showcased at a New Delhi-based
dealership. The special edition of the SR 150 was launched in September and has
started to arrive at the showrooms.
The Aprilia SR 150 Carbon made its public debut at
the Auto Expo 2018 in February this year. It was finally launched in September
2018 and is a part of the 2018 Aprilia SR 150 range, which also comprises SR
150 (Standard) and SR 150 Race.
The new scooter features a carbon fibre-like texture
on the front apron, around the blinkers and the sides. The all-black look,
combined with several red highlights, makes the scooter look sportier than the
standard version. Apart from the new colour scheme, the new model remains
identical to the standard version.
The 2018 Aprilia SR 150 range features a
semi-digital instrument console with Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.
Feature list via Smartphone connectivity includes GPS information, Panic Alert
system, and the ability to locate nearby authorised service centres. The Panic
Alert system sends the rider’s current location to a registered mobile number
in case there was an accident. The 'find-me' feature can be used to spot the
scooter in dark parking spots while the under-seat USB charger can be used to
replenish the batteries of a smartphone or other devices. The updated model
line-up rides on MRF tires instead of Vee Rubber that was available on the
earlier iteration.
Powering the Aprilia SR 150 Carbon Edition is a
154cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that outputs a maximum power of 10.06
PS at 6,750 rpm and a peak torque of 10.9 Nm at 5,000 rpm. Braking is courtesy
of a 220 mm single disc brake on the front wheel and a 140 mm drum at the rear.
The updated SR 150 range features a pre-load-adjustable monoshock at the back,
while the telescopic suspension at the front remains unchanged.
The Aprilia SR 150 Carbon Edition is priced at INR
73,500 (ex-showroom, Gurgaon).
