G-Power thinks the ideal M6 Coupe needs a heck of a
lot more power and a more aggressive look and, for the most part, we couldn’t
agree more.At 800 PS and 1,050 Nm of torque, the
first part has been taken care of courtesy of the reworked turbochargers and
other performance parts in the engine compartment.
The result is a top speed in excess of 330 km/h. G-Power didn’t disclose the 0-100 km/h sprint time, but since
the stock M6 equipped with the Competition Package needs 3.9 seconds, we
wouldn’t be surprised if that number has dropped to around 3 seconds.
This tuned M6 is more powerful than anything the
Munich-based auto brand currently makes. Compared to the stock car, it has an additional
200 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Keep in mind that
we’re referring to the Competition Package version, as the regular M6 has only
560 PS and 680 Nm.
Adding the various technical upgrades to your BMW M6
requires spending some serious cash. The Performance Software V4 currently
costs € 3,519.43 (US$ 4,009), the modified turbochargers add another € 4,581.50
(US$ 5,219), the downpipes with sport catalyst are priced at € 4,593.40 (US$ 5,232)
and the exhaust titanium system will set you back another € 6,501.47 (US$ 7,406),
without the € 1,446.59 (US$ 1,649) carbon tailpipes. Opting for the increased V-max
means spending another € 516.70 (US$ 589). All prices are for the German market and
don’t include installation.
In the design department, G-Power has given this M6
an M4 GTS look, made possible by a carbon fiber body kit consisting of a front
spoiler, side skirts, diffuser, rear wing and new bonnet that removes hot air
more efficiently. All visual parts are said to have been aerodynamically
engineered and give the car “significantly” more downforce on both axles.
Finally, the tuned M6 features an adjustable
coilover suspension and a new set of wheels measuring 9×21 and 10.5×21 inches,
front and rear respectively, shod in 255/30 and 295/25 tires.
