BMW won’t start taking orders for the X7 in the
United Kingdom until next April, here are the official
pricing details. Offered in three distinct versions, the base model will be the X7
xDrive30. Its 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine makes 265 PS and 620 Nm of torque. In this flavor, the car firm’s flagship
SUV sprints to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds and tops out at 227 km/h.
BMW claims a combined fuel consumptions of 43.5 mpg
UK (36.2 mpg US / 6.5 l/100 km) and CO2 emissions of 171 g/km. The BMW X7
xDrive30d will have an MSRP of £ 72,155, or about £ 11,000 more than the entry-level X6. The X5 starts from £ 57,495 locally.
Next comes the BMW X7 M50d, with its 400 PS and 760 Nm of torque. It completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.4 seconds and goes up to an electronically limited top speed
of 250 km/h. Pricing starts from £ 87,240 for this
version, £ 17,790 more than the X5 M50d.
The only petrol model on sale from next spring will
be the BMW X7 xDrive40i, available from £ 74,155. Its turbo’d
3.0-liter six-cylinder mill develops 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque, enabling it to hit 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, with a
top speed of 245 km/h.
Some of the standard equipment found across the
range includes air suspension, adaptive LED headlights and 21-inch wheels. The
BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, gesture
control, sports leather steering wheel, Merino leather trim, four-zone climate
control, 10-speaker sound system, glass roof, electrical opening and closing for
the two-section split tailgate, among others, are offered at no extra cost as
well.
