The FB Mondial HPS 125 is very similar to the HPS
300, with the only difference being the engine specifications. The HPS 125 was
spied testing in India in August 2017. HPS stands for ‘hipster,’ and the design
language is unique in its own right. The company claims the bike is neither a
café racer, nor a scrambler, but a fusion of both.
Powering the FB Mondial HPS 125 is a 125 cc
single-cylinder, DOHC motor with fuel injection. The liquid-cooled engine is
capable of churning out a maximum power of 13.59 PS at 9,750 rpm and 10.5 Nm of
peak torque at 8,000 rpm. A 6-speed transmission transfers drive to the wheel
through a final chain drive.
The FB Mondial HPS 125 features the same suspension
setup as on the HPS 300. The front is a 41 mm upside-down unit, while twin
gas-charged shock absorbers do duty at the rear. Anchorage comes from petal
disc brakes at both the ends with floating radial callipers. ABS is offered as
standard. The bike has a dry weight of 135 kg.
