A new special edition Fiat 500 is being launched in Australia, called the 500 Collezione Spring Edition. The special edition is being launched in hatch and cabriolet form, and with auto and manual in the hatch. All are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that produces 69 Hp and 102 Nm. With the manual, the official average fuel economy is just 4.9L/100km, and 4.8L/100km when paired with the five-speed auto.

Based on the Lounge variant, the Collezione Spring Edition comes packed with over AUD 3100 in extras. You get two-tone bianco gelato and lunare grey paintwork for the body, some 16-inch alloy wheels, and chrome trimmings for the bonnet, side mirrors and bumper inserts, with some special badges.

Inside, passengers are presented with white body-coloured dash inserts, with striped seats and ivory ‘500’ logos and seat piping, with bespoke ‘Collezione’ embroidered floor mats. These garnishes are on top of the standard kit of the Lounge.

Some of the standard kit includes a 7.0-inch Uconnect touch-screen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB and aux-in ports. A 7.0-inch TFT digital instrument cluster faces the driver. Climate control, front fog lights, rear parking sensors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever are also part of the pack.

Just 70 examples are going up for grabs, making it quite an exclusive city car. The new version is on sale now from the following prices (excluding on-road costs):

  • Fiat 500 Collezione Spring Edition hatch 1.2L 5MTA – AUD 23,490
