Nissan has unveiled the Terra S at the 2018
Philippine International Motor Show. The Nissan Terra S is a special edition focused on the styling
aspect, and the ’S’ suffix doesn’t stand for “Sport”. At the front, it has a
shut-off lower air intake and fog lamp housing, two-tone hood and darkened
headlamps.
Extra body cladding running along the sides
accentuate the mid-size SUV’s ruggedness. While the standard Nissan Terra is
available with 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, the S edition is equipped with
unique 20-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, there’s a black distinctive roof
spoiler and diffuser-style bumper, and the upper portion of the tailgate is in
the same dual-tone colour scheme as the hood.
The Nissan Terra S has a custom interior with a
dual-tone scheme in black and white. The seats feature a stylish quilted
pattern on them, and the driver and co-driver seats’ headrests carry “Terra S”
branding. Nissan hasn’t released the Terra S’ specifications, but it’s safe to
assume that it uses the same components as the regular model. It’s the YD25
DDTi 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel unit that produces 190 PS at
3,600 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm.
The interior image shows that the
display model is equipped with a 7-speed automatic transmission. A part-time
4WD system is not present, and so, the drive goes solely to the rear axle.
Nissan hasn’t yet revealed plans to launch the
special edition Terra S in the Philippines.
