The 2020 Porsche 911 is set to be unveiled in Los
Angeles next month, but that doesn’t mean the company is done rolling out
versions of the 991. The latest addition to the lineup is the 911 Targa 4 GTS Exclusive
Manufaktur Edition. Described as a “highly refined” model, the special edition
has an achat gray metallic exterior with white gold metallic accents and
brilliant silver touches.
Porsche notes the latter two colors largely replace
the black accents that are characteristic of the GTS model. Other special touches include a brown soft top and a
standard SportDesign package. Last, the car has 20-inch RS Spyder
wheels with a “satin-white finish in white gold metallic.”
The unique styling continues in the cabin as drivers
will find light brown natural leather upholstery with contrasting white gold
stitching on the dashboard, door panels, seats and steering wheel. Elsewhere,
there is natural leather espresso trim, embroidered “911” headrests and an
embossed “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” logo on the center console. Designers
also installed “911 Targa 4 GTS Exclusive Manufaktur Edition” badging on the
dashboard and illuminated door sill plates.
Power comes from a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder
engine that produces 443 hp and 550 Nm of torque.
It is connected to a seven-speed PDK transmission and a standard all-wheel
drive system. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0-100
km/h in 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 306 km/h.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS Exclusive Manufaktur
Edition will apparently be exclusive to Germany and deliveries are slated to
begin next month. Pricing starts at € 187,961 (US$ 217,869 / £ 164,682).
