Acura is heading to
the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas where it will display a tuned 2019 RDX A-Spec,
alongside other vehicles. Modified by Graham Rahal Performance (GRP), a company
founded last year by the Honda IndyCar driver Graham Rahal, the study puts out
345 hp and 502 Nm of torque.
The factory 2.0-liter four-banger was equipped with a new
turbocharger, intake and exhaust manifolds, and downpipe, in addition to the
custom intercooler and intake setup, cat-back exhaust system and ECU remap. Output
is being channeled to the car’s AWD system, although Acura has yet to release
any performance specs.
Other mods include
the custom Eibach sport springs that lower the ride height by 2 inches (51 mm),
and six-piston brakes from StopTech. The 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec is finished in
Apex Blue Pearl, has custom carbon side mirror caps and grille accents,
body-color painted lower garnish and 21-inch rims from HRE, shod in 265/40
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Inside, it benefits
from carbon fiber accents, black leather sport seats with Ultrasuede accents
and custom steering wheel designed by racing driver Max Papis of MPI
Innovations. Special exterior and interior graphics round up the list of
updates.
The 2019 Acura NSX will be
present at SEMA with its new Thermal Orange Pearl hue. Joining it will be a
range of accessories for the 2019 ILX, including front and rear underbody spoilers,
satin silver side mirror covers, 18-inch black alloy wheels and special accents
inside.
Building upon the
NSX GT3, the Acura NSX GT3 Evo will be displayed at the brand’s stand too, with
modified carbon fiber bodywork, new turbochargers, improved ABS, and upgraded
Bosch display and data-logging unit. Current NSX GT3 owners can turn their cars
into the Evo-spec through Variant Supply. Showcasing Acura’s recent motorsport
success will be the hill-climb-conquering TLX GT and ARX-05 Daytona Prototype.
