The facelifted 2019 Nissan Maxima has just premiered
at the ongoing Los Angeles Auto Show 2018 and while it doesn’t look radically
different to the 2018 model, there are a number of noteworthy changes present.
Looking at the refreshed Maxima from the front,
you’ll no doubt realize that there is a different bumper that seamlessly
incorporates a pair of small foglights in blacked-out faux air intakes. Also
found up front are refreshed headlights with LEDs and a more complex inner
design. The design alterations aren’t limited to the front as viewed from the
rear, a serious of alterations catch the eye, including updated taillights.
Inside, Nissan has outfitted the 2019 Maxima with a
new-and-improved infotainment system similar to what is found in the 2019
Altima. In addition, Nissan has confirmed that the refreshed Maxima receives
its Safety Shield 360 package has standard which includes blind-spot
monitoring, front and rear emergency braking, automatic high-beams, and
lane-departure as standard equipment.
The 2019 Nissan Maxima is powered
by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, the same powertrain as the outgoing model. All up,
the car delivers 300 hp and 353 Nm of torque and comes standard
with an Xtronic CVT transmission as standard. The 2019 Nissan Maxima will be
sold in five different grade levels: S, SV, SL, SR, and Platinum.
