A modified Ford
EcoSport, which has been customised by New York-based Tucci Hot Rods, has been
showcased at SEMA 2018. The custom vehicle is based on the 4WD-equipped SES
variant of the sub-compact SUV. As per the customiser, the SUV has been given a
“go-anywhere, do-anything treatment.”
At its front, the
modified Ford EcoSport sports an updated fascia with an improved approach
angle. The customised vehicle features an updated bumper, which carries a Warn
Axon 35-S Powersport winch near its lower air-intake. On the sides, it features
Dom Tucci Design 3D-printed fender flares that seem to be inspired by the ones
usually seen on D1 drift cars. Another highlight here is the set of fifteen52
Turbomac HD 16-inch alloy wheels shod with meaty 255/65-spec Maxxis Bravo
Series AT tyres. These are the same wheels that can be found on Ken Block's
Hoonitruck.
At the rear, the
modified Ford EcoSport carries an updated bumper with a tubular frame near the
license plate indentation. Other highlights include Rigid Industries
Lighting-sourced amber fog lights, rock lights, high-mounted Radiance D-XL
lights, and a Chase brake light. Tucci Hot Rods has installed a set of Yakima
HighRoad upright bike mounts as well. The interior remains mostly untouched,
with the only additions coming in the form of all-weather floor mats and cargo
liner.
The US-spec Ford
EcoSport SES 4WD variant is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol
engine that comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Performance
modifications for this modified Ford EcoSport include a performance air filter
from K&N and a Borla custom Ford Performance exhaust system. Moreover, the
show car boasts ISC Suspension N1 coilovers.
