The Hero XPulse 200 adventure tourer and the recently unveiled Hero XPulse 200T will be launched in India around March 2019, as per a report on Bikewale. Hero MotoCorp, confirmed that the Hero XPulse 200 will be introduced by early 2019. However, the launch has been pushed back slightly as a result of the company’s strategy to bring it together with the XPulse 200T, which was showcased at the EICMA 2018. The Hero XPulse 200T is a ‘Tourer’ that offers modern technology with retro styling.

The Hero XPulse 200T offers relaxed riding posture, which should aid long-distance touring. The motorcycle comes equipped with a host of convenience and safety features such as a digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, single-channel ABS and LED headlight and tail lamps.

On the other hand, the Hero XPulse 200 is an entry-level adventure tourer, which was unveiled at the EICMA 2017 and more recently at the Auto Expo 2018 in February. As compared to the XPulse 200T, the XPulse 200 features long-travel suspension, full-LED headlight with a high wind deflector, a raised front mudguard and an under-seat exhaust.

The XPulse 200 rides on 21-/18-inch wire-spoke wheels at front and rear, paired to knobby tyres, while the XPulse 200T features 17-inch alloy wheels that wrap on road-biased tyres. Hero MotoCorp showcased four concepts based on the XPulse 200 platform at the Italian exhibition, which included a Café Racer Concept, a Scrambler Concept, a Desert Concept, and a Flat-Track Concept.

While the bikes will be powered by a 200cc, single-cylinder engine, Hero MotoCorp has not revealed the further specifications of the XPulse 200 twins. The oil-cooled motor produces a maximum power of 18 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 17 Nm at 6,500 rpm on the Xtreme 200R. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

Expect the Hero XPulse 200 and the XPulse 200T to be priced under INR 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
